From June 10 to 13, 2025, SDP attended the IASP (International Association for Suicide Prevention) conference, an international gathering dedicated to suicide prevention. Each year, this event brings together researchers, practitioners, healthcare professionals, and organizations committed to developing informed and sensitive solutions. Participating in this event gave us a better understanding of the current issues and advances in prevention.
Our team had the opportunity to talk with experts from various backgrounds: clinical, scientific, community, and institutional. These conversations highlighted the complexity of the realities experienced, but also the crucial importance of innovation, collaboration, and a person-centered approach. Attending this event also allowed us to see how technological tools can play an essential role in coordinating services, clinical follow-up, and continuity of care.
This conference was a valuable opportunity to enrich our understanding and become part of a global movement where prevention, compassion, and scientific rigor go hand in hand.
